You can register your profile Free of charge, fill out the required information in the registration form upload photo’s and video’s just click on submit.

The login and logout the navigation option are found at the right corner of the menu bar.

2. Can I be permanently logged into my account to avoid logging in each time I visit smarterchildcare.com?

Yes, you can be logged into your account permanently if you wish by selecting the `Stay signed in’ option.
Please note: We do not recommend that you stay signed in permanently if you are using a shared computer.

3. I forgot my password, what should I do?

If you have forgotten your password you can retrieve this by selecting `Forgot Password’ which is located in the login page found below the password box. Once you have entered your email address you will be sent a link to reset/change your password.
Note: This process can be carried out to 'Change your password' also.

To edit your profile login to `Your Account’ page follow the edit options then press on the `update’ button.

2. Can I change my email & contact details after registering my profile?

Yes to edit your email and contact details access `Your Account’ page follow the edit options applicable then press on the `update’ button.

Our statistics show adding a photo to your CV or Company Logo your profile increases the number of times your profile is viewed & you are also more likely to be contacted.

To remove your photo from your profile go to Your Account page and use the delete arrow feature to remove your photo.

Searching Profiles

1. How to search Jobs on Smarterteaching.co.uk?

To search for profiles you can use any of the following options:

Basic Search: You can search for jobs by keywords and location and distance.
Advanced Search: This will give you more detailed search option including minimum salary, salary type and employer type.
Profile ID: You can also search jobs by `Job ID’ in advanced search options.

2. How are search results listed?

Search results are displayed by default using a custom algorithm developed by Smarterteaching.co.uk you can sort the order of the results by date, location, company name and job title. On this page you will have access to refine your search results by user friendly navigation on the left hand side `Refine your search’ dashboard.

3. Can I shortlist Jobs & CV’s that I like?

Yes, if you like a job profile we recommend that you add the job to 'Save Job' you can revisit these jobs in 'Your Saved Jobs' section in your account panel.

Recruiters can also shortlist candidates CV’s and revisit these profile in `Saved CV’s’ section in your account panel.

4. Can I view Recruiters profiles who have viewed my CV ?

Yes, go to `Who viewed my CV ‘ to see a list of recruiters who recently viewed your CV/Profile.

5. Can I view Recruiter profiles who I have recently visited?

Yes, go to `Recruiters I have viewed’ to see a list of recruiters who you have recently viewed.

6. Can I view Recruiters profiles who are looking for CV’s like mine?

Yes, go to `Recruiters Looking for me’ to see a list of members who are looking for CV’s like you.

Contacting Recruiters & Candidates

1. How can I contact Recruiters on Smarterteaching.co.uk?

Candidates can contact recruiters by responding to their job adverts displayed on our website or by searching our company or agency A-Z directory.

2. How can I contact Candidates on Smarterteaching.co.uk?

Recruiters can contact candidates by responses from their Job adverts and searching through our CV database and marketing campaigns that have been delivered through our comprehensive system.

Block & Report Misuse

1. What is the Block Member feature?

You can choose to Block Members if you do not wish them to view your profile or contact you on Smarterteaching.co.uk this member will not be shown again to you and their profile can be accessed from your Blocked Members list. You can do this by clicking `Block Member’ on the members profile you can also unblock this member if you wish to do so.

2. What is the Report Misuse feature?

You can report a profile to the Smarterteaching.co.uk safety team whenever you observe any misuse in smarterteaching.co.uk – this can be False Profile information, Fake/Obscene photos, abusive messages etc. Once this is reported we will take the appropriate action and will automatically Block the member as well.

We at smarterteaching.co.uk like to inform all members we cannot rigorously check the details of every profile that registers with us. We advise to vet the candidates and/or companies who are advertising their job adverts.

1.Member Safety Advice

Secure your passwords - Passwords are the first line of defense against cyber criminals. It’s crucial to pick strong passwords that are different for each of your important accounts and it is good practice to update your passwords regularly. Follow these tips to create strong passwords and keep them secure.

2. Use a unique password for each of your important accounts like email and online banking

Choosing the same password for each of your online accounts is like using the same key to lock your home, car and office - if a criminal gains access to one, all of them are compromised. So don’t use the same password for an online newsletter as you do for your email or bank account. It may be less convenient, but picking multiple passwords keeps you safer.

3. Use a long password made up of numbers, letters and symbols

The longer your password is, the harder it is to guess. So make your password long to help keep your information safe. Adding numbers, symbols and mixed-case letters makes it harder for would-be snoops or others to guess or crack your password. Avoid using publicly available information like your phone number in your passwords. It’s not very original, and it isn’t very safe!

Because your password are so important, you should think carefully before deciding to share them with others – even friends and family. When you share your password, there is a greater risk that someone may misuse your accounts by accessing information you don’t want them to or using the account in ways you don’t approve. For example, if you share your email password with someone, that person might read your personal emails, try to use your email account to access other online services you might use, like banking or social sites, or use your account to impersonate you. Finally, when you share your password with someone, you will have to rely on them to keep it secure; they may share it with others on purpose or by accident.

Check for signals about your connection with the website.

Members are encouraged to inform our team if they have any concerns about another member on our site and we will investigate all reports. To report a member click the 'Report Abuse' button on a profile.

Encryption technology, anti-virus protection, firewalls security systems have been implemented to tackle any mis-use of our systems and data on our site in order to ensure all our members information remains safe and secure.

10. Data & Messaging Safety

Smarter Teaching has also implemented a private messaging system to help protect personal information. All messages received and sent between members are recorded and stored on our servers complying with the Data Protection Act 1998 and with the Information Commissioners Office. Ensuring members internal messages can be retrieved in case of a complaint received which may be passed onto the Police or other agencies for any criminal investigations.
